Last year, the designers at Maurice Lacroix inspired all aficionados of the new Retro Look with the new Miros Coussin. The pillow-shaped stainless steel case is an attention-getter of a special kind and brings to mind the thirties of the last century, in which design was newly defined. It is characterized by simple, slightly curved lines in which the rims protecting the screwed-in crown are nestled perfectly.
This special case - measuring 37 x 39 millimeters - is thanks to a subtle adaptation of strap joints, bezel and crown this year even more harmonious and protects for the new Miros Coussin Mécanique the hand-wound Peseux 7001 calibre. This classic timepiece is the first model in the celebrated Miros collection which features a mechanical movement. The ML 130 calibre has small seconds at 6 o'clock and was hand-decorated with elegant Côtes de Genève. So that the wearer can enjoy this mechanical gem to the full, the case was created with two rectangular crystal windows.

The Miros Coussin Mécanique replaces the generously proportioned Roman numerals on the Miros Coussin Réveil and Chronographe launched in 2005 with pure, applied index marks. The generosity of the dial design, however, remains intact. The index marks span from the edge of the dial to the round centre and surround the small seconds at 6 o'clock. The beautifully discrete hands and dial - available in black or silver-coloured - are simply perfect for showcasing the classic appeal of this new model.
All in all, the Miros Coussin Mécanique is a quiet timepiece that fascinates lovers of a good design who do not seek superficial statements but rather perfection down to the finest detail.
